Your money or usable household items or food or other needed items are welcome at these area charitable associations and non-profit organizations. Help Austin charities keep on helping our community.
American Heart Association
Make your personal contribution, participate in corporate giving programs. Make a Memorial gift to honor the memories of loved ones or give a living Tribute in the name of a special friend or family member.
Austin Heart House
Help bring free afterschool programs to low income and at-risk youth with donations to Heart House.
Austin Humane Society
Become a monthly donor, make memorial donations. Find other ways to give to the Humane Society.
Austin Zoo
Support the zoo with your cash donations. At their site you can see how much your donation will buy.
Bethesda Resale Shops
They have a store on Burnet Road that accepts clothing, household goods, antiques, collectibles, or toys. Proceeds go to support the missions of Bethesda Lutheran Homes and Services, Inc.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas
Donate money or give them your unwanted clothing and household goods which are then sold for the benefit of this organization that matches up needy children with positive adult role models and friends. They also accept donations of cars, trucks, boats, and motorcycles.
Capital Area Food Bank
There mission is to feed the hungry and end hunger altogether. You can help with donations of food and money as well as volunteering and participating in hunger awareness programs.
Caritas of Austin
This non-profit provides rent, utilities, food and support to people in need. And they need your financial support as well as food, clothing, and household items including furnture. Find out where and how to make each type of donation.
Catholic Archives of Texas
Do you have any historical materials pertaining to Catholics in Texas and the Southwest? Your donated materials are gladly accepted.
Dress for Success: Austin
Check their site for the types and sizes of professional women's suits, shoes, and handbags that they want and need. They turn around and donate these items to low-income women and girls trying to enter the workforce.
Goodwill Computer Works
Take your working but unneeded computer systems, monitors, peripherals, and software to the Goodwill ComputerWorks store.
Goodwill Industries of Central Texas
You can donate a car as well as clothing, furniture, appliances, and other knick knacks and household items at various Goodwill stores and donation centers in Central Texas.
Latina Mami
Donate your maternity clothes, baby clothes, and baby equipment for the Mami Closet which supports Latina mothers and their children and others in the Austin area - a project of the Austin Community Foundation.
Prevent Child Abuse Texas
Make online monetary donations to help curb child abuse in our state.
Reading is FUNdamental
They promote reading by providing books to low-income families and welcome your cash donations in many forms.
Ronald McDonald House
Providing a home-away-from-home for families with critically ill children undergoing treatment at Austin area hospitals, they accept cash as well as equipment, food, supplies, or professional services. View their wish list.
SafePlace
Donate online, by mail, or telephone to help support this Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Survival Center. Also, check the Wish List for items they need to better serve their clients.
Salvation Army, The
The local thrift stores and adult rehabilitation center welcome your clothing, household items, and furniture donations.
Save Our Springs Alliance
Make your donation online to help keep Barton Springs beautiful for generations to come.
Victory Outreach
This Pentecostal ministry accepts cash donations from members and non-members to help support its various worldwide missions.
West Hills Presbyterian Church
Clothing and food donations go back into the community through their various outreach programs including the Manos de Cristo food pantry.
